Funeral Services Held for Fred Chaussee
Funeral services for Fred Chaussee, 81, Elk Point, were held recently. He passed away Sept. 18 at the home of his son Calvin, near Elk Point after suffering a heart attack. The Anderson funeral home of Elk Point was in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Chaussee was born Aug 15, 1878 in Union county. He married Florence Authier in Jefferson April 11, 1903 and they farmed near Elk Point for a number of years. Mrs. Chaussee passed away in 1950.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Inez Hayes of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Darlene Hallgren of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Elaine Clifford of Sioux City; one son, Calvin of Elk Point; one sister, Mrs. Sherman Callahan of Elk Point; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
