Bridget graduated from Sunbright High School in 1965 married the love of her life Clovis Jr. in 1966. Moved to Ohio where he was stationed in the Ari Force in 1967, they moved back to Tennessee where they raised their daughters and ran a business until the late 70’s at which point she became involved in community activities. In 1983 she and Colvis helped instrument the founding of the Burrville Volunteer Fire Department where she was the first female Asst. Fire Chief in Morgan County after which Clovis became Chief later and remained so until health problems would not allow it in 2004. She also took community statistics to allow grant applications for city water to be ran in the Burrville Community on her own time so her neighbors could have dependable clean water. She served on the United Way board for numerous years until her health prevented it. She was a Girl Scout Leader and took her troop on outings and adventures to the Home of Billy Crash Carddit and Elvis.

After her daughters grew up the best part of life began. Being a grandmother to 6 wonderful children 5 boys and a girl who she said she would not trade for anything, and was glad she spent time with them as they grew into the wonderful adults they are. Most grandparents don’t get the opportunity to do that as the last few years she would not what to have done without them.

As I write this my mother has been a lot of things to a lot of people, daughter, wife, mother, niece, sister, grandchild, grandmother, friend, cousin, neighbor… to me she has been a role model that allowed me to be the strong woman I am today. Love You Mom.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5-7 pm Schubert Funeral Home Sunbright.
Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Father Mike Swiney officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday 11 am Mt. Vernon Cemetery Burrville, TN.
