Earlene N. Traviolia was born December 30, 1926 to Clarence Earl and Leona (Goodmon) Newell in Bristow, Oklahoma. She departed this life on a beautiful spring morning, March 21, 2018 at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 19 days.

She graduated from Slick High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Marion Traviolia in 1974 and enjoyed seven years together until he passed in 1981. She enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time outdoors. She also enjoyed her dog “Sweetie”.

She is survived by her son, Jay Compston of Bristow; one brother, Mike Newell and wife Bobbi of Bristow; two great grandchildren, Cheyenne Blaze Compston and Johnathan Fisher. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Robert and Clarence Earl Newell; four sisters, Geneva Williams, Jimmie Glisson, Maxine Purvis and Rita Fern Pierce; one grandson, Chris Compston.

Funeral services: Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma with Interment to follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
