MRS KIMLER OF KEITHSBURG IS BURIED TUESDAY
Mrs Mina Kimler of Keithsburg, who suffered a stroke 10 days ago, died Saturday night, July 2, 1949, at Cottage hospital, Galesburg, where she was taken for treatment. Mrs Kimler had been in her usual good health until suffering the stroke which later claimed her life. The body was brought to the Steubinger Funeral home in Keithsburg and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Keithsburg Christian church with Rev J Millar Ahlstrom of New Boston officiating at the rites. Burial was made at Peniel cemetery near Joy.
Mrs Kimler observed her 83rd birthday anniversary May 1 of this year, was a native of Williamsburg, Pa., and spent much of her early life in Keithsburg. She and her husband, the late James Kimler, moved to Keithsburg to make their home about eight years ago, having resided prior to that time at Chillicothe. Mrs Kimler was a member of the Keithsburg Christian church and Aid society.
Surviving are four children, Mrs Rena Martin of Wichita, Kans.; Mrs Mae Findley of Flint, Mich.; Mrs Bertha Lashall of Davenport; and John Albertson of Keithsburg; 19 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.Mina and William were married in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania in 1882.
