Thomas C. Quick was the son of Nathaniel and Celetha Quick of South Carolina. He was born 30 Jul 1824 in GA. He married Francis Woodward 31 Jul 1842 in Upson Co. GA. This was the second marriage for Frances. She had been married a short time earlier to Joseph Harrell.
Thomas Quick was wounded and captured at Harrodsburg, KY on 10 Oct 1862 (Battle of Perryville). He was shipped to Vicksburg, MS on 12 Nov 1862 in exchange for a Union soldier. He died at Vicksburg on 11 Dec 1862.
In about 1866, Frances Woodward married Thomas's older brother, Alexander Quick whose first wife had died.

In 2001, I had the opportunity to look through and old family trunk that belonged to Emily. I found some old family photos there. Among the photos was one of a Civil War soldier. I believe this soldier was Emily's father, Thomas. I hesitate to upload the photo to this page because I am not 100% sure that it is Thomas.
