Carl Antrim, 93, former DeSoto resident, died Tuesday in Albany Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Delaware County, graduated from Yorktown High School and spent his entire life in this area.
Mr. Antrim worked several years for Delco Battery before he retired. He previously worked for Muncie Products and Chevrolet Muncie. In his early years, he farmed in Mount Pleasant Township until 1928.
He was a member of Friends Memorial Church.
Survivors include two nephews, Wayne Antrim, Delaware County, and Warren Antrim, Xenia, Ohio, and several great-nieces and nephews.
His wife, Claudia Antrim, died in 1977, and a brother, Ralph Antrim, died in 1987. His parents, William M. and Lura Landrey Antrim, also are deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery, west of Yorktown. Calling at the mortuary will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and before services Saturday.
