Mrs. Judith R. "Judy" McClure Bagley Wakefield, age 82, of Madison, Indiana formerly of Milton entered this life on September 2, 1935 in Bedford, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late, Emmett Francis and Martha Malinda Weatherly McClure. She was raised in Trimble County in her early life and later graduated high school in Wabash. She began her working career at Ace Hardware in downtown Madison working in the paint department and selling hardware. She then went to business college in Versailles and was proud to have graduated top of her class. In September 1965 Judy began her career with the Social Security Administration in Madison serving as a claims representative, retiring in November 1997. She then worked as a hearing monitor for the Hearing and Appeals Office from Indianapolis from 1998-2006. Judy also had learned sign language and also later taught sign language and would volunteer to sign for people at work and for others. Judy was recognized Nationally for her gift in sign language in Washington DC and presented the award by the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, Richard Schweiker. Judy worked in her spare time for H & R Block working as a tax preparer for several years. She was a faithful member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church where she had served as treasurer, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, youth director and helped wherever needed in the church. Judy was an avid reader often having four books going at one time, genealogy was very important to her, studying and researching the Bible and volunteering wherever needed. Judy was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and would share the Gospel whenever possible. She was a devoted mom, loving sister, nanny and an awesome and loyal friend. Judy died on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 11:33 a.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY
Judy will be missed by her loving daughter, Shirley Leathermon and her husband, Byron of Lexington, Indiana; her loving sons, David Allen Wakefield and his wife, Sharon of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, Emmett B. Wakefield and his wife, Faith of Hobe Sound, Florida; her loving grandchildren, Cassandra (Jason), Jennifer, Daniel, Michelle, Amy, Adrienne (Andrew), Lorinda (Jonathan), and Emmett Joseph; her adoring great grandchildren, David, Jacob, Allison, Logan and Rajiv; her great great grandchildren, Adalayna and Braxton; her loving brother, Elbert "Mike" McClure and his wife, Helen of Madison, Indiana; her loving sister, Ruth Ann Dixon and her husband, Bill of Bloomington, Indiana; her sister in law, Catherine McClure of Greenwood, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Emmett Francis McClure, died May 1, 1986, her mother, Martha Malinda Weatherly McClure, died July 1, 1989, and her brother, Gordon Leon McClure, Sr. died October 12, 2010.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at 11:00 am, by the Rev. Emmett B. Wakefield and Rev. Mike Brown at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.

VISITATION
Friends may call Monday from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
