OBITUARY:
George C. Mumper, 80, of Jefferson Street, Midway, PA., died Sunday evening October 17, 1965, in Washington Hospital. He was born at Landisburg, August 22, 1885, a son of Elmer E. and Lillian Baker Mumper, and lived in Midway, PA. since 1916.

Mr. Mumper was a member of the Center United Presbyterian Church in, Midway, where he served on the board of trustees and later as an elder. He was an honorary elder at the time of his death. He was employed as a mechanical engineer at the Follansbee Steel Co, retiring in 1954.

Mr. Mumper married Anna Elizabeth Sharp in 1911. She died in 1945. He was re-married, in 1949, to Ora Manson Gilbert

Mr. Mumper is survived by his wife, Ora; one son, William Glen Mumper, of Midway; one step-son, Willard Gilbert, of Canonsburg; one stepdaughter, Eleanor, wife of Edward Sterne of San Francisco, CA.; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Amos of New Martinsdale, West Virginia; one brother, Arthur Mumper, of Los Angeles, California; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Edwin G. Wilson Funeral Home, Midway, where services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Charles Van Dyne, of the Center U.P. Church. Burial in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
