Surviving him are one sister; Joan Liller, two brothers, Paul Essie and Junior Roy, one half brother, Stelman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were four brothers; Wallace, Raymond, Eddie, and Howard Hank Roy, two half brothers; Winnie and Charles Roy, two sisters, Gladys Kisner and Patty Smith.
He was a graduate of Parsons High School, had served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, had worked as an OR Technician for the Parsons Hospital, and had worked as an aide at the Cortland Acre Nursing Home. He was an organist for various churches throughout Parsons, and his passions were his music, elderly people, and his dogs.
