Ada Ellen Lester Altizer, 100, of Floyd County, went home on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior and to reunite with her beloved husband, Aaron and other family members who have gone on before.

Ada was born December 30, 1916, and resided in Floyd County all of her life. The farthest she ever traveled away from home was to Charleston, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 78 years, Aaron Clyde Altizer;
parents, John Francisco and Ella May Lester;
five sisters, Lela Marshall, Ruby Harris, Gay Royal, Annie Bower and infant Lucy Lester;
four brothers, Davis Lester, Ray Lester, Elvin Lester and Dempsey Lester;
two sisters-in-law, Hattie Reed and Callie Heslep;
a son-in-law, Richard Bishop; and granddaughter, Rebekah.

Ada is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Carlie Spence of Floyd, Chloe Bishop of Riner, Hattie Ethel and James Trail of Radford, Geneva and Allen Cox of Christiansburg.
