Henry Holt, the subject of this sketch, was born in Virginia, Mar. 15, 1835, and died at his home in Bucklin, Mar. 14, 1912, aged 76 years, 11 months and 29 days.
He migrated from his birthplace to Missouri in an early day and remained here until his death, residing most of the time in Chariton County.
He was married to Miss Frances Swearengin on July 31, 1862. He leaves a wife, 9 children, 22 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He became a member of the Christian Church in an early day.
This family has lived in Bucklin for the past 11 years.
