Son of William B. & Minnie Lee Eivens Shoffner, married Madolyn Crossley. Very active businessman, civic & church leader. Mr. Shoffner died following an extended illness Friday, January 2, 1970 at Colonial Acres Rest Home in Rock Falls. The visitation was Saturday at the Wheelock Allen Funeral Home, Rock Falls, with the Advance Lodge 590 of Rock Falls conducting an Odd Fellows service. The funeral was held Monday at Wheelock Allen with Rev. Donald Proctor, pastor of the Rock Falls Congregational Church & Rev. H.C. Hatton, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

Mr. Shoffner was survived by his widow, one son, his step mother, Mrs. Florence Shoffner of Princeton; two brothers, William T. of Rock Falls, and Russell W. of Cayucos , California; two sisters, Mrs. Dewey (Gertie) Dale of Rock Falls, Mrs. Warren (Ruth) Kapp, Wyoming, IL, three grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
