He was born September 5, 1929, in Perry County, to John Henry and Canzada Loberg Biri. He and Edna Marie Schumer were married June 12, 1948.
Loving survivors include his wife of nearly 70 years, Edna Schumer Biri of Perryville; five children: SSND Sister Ethel Marie Biri of Perryville; Edie Marie (Mag) Matlock of Columbia, Missouri; Deacon Walter Leo (Linda) Biri of Jackson; Michael j. (Lisa) Biri of Jackson; Joan Ellen Danley of Dothan, Alabama; a daughter-in-law, Sharon (the late John) Biri of Farmington, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Joseph Biri; two brothers; five sisters; and his parents.
