Minnie Frances Bass, Frances or Bitsy to family and close friends, of Madison, AL passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1st 2018 at the age of 75.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Larry A Bass Sr, her mother, Ruth Moore Bass and her sister, Rev. Juanita Bass. She is survived by her 3 brothers as well as 5 nephews and 1 niece, as well as 8 great nieces and nephews and 1 great, great niece.

Minnie is a Tennessee native, she was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from East Nashville High School.
She was Youth Director at East End United Methodist Church in East Nashville in the 1960s, she was also an Administrative assistant and office manager for Massachusetts Mutual Insurance for a number of years. Minnie worked in Nashville with The Board of Higher Education and Ministries. She also was office manager at Buddy Lee Entertainment in Nashville, rubbing elbows with many country music stars on Music Row. Upon moving to California, she became a Legal secretary in LA. She was very active at the Hollywood United Methodist Church. She was passionate about people's rights and was a big advocate for the homeless. She then moved to Phoenix, AZ where she worked for the United Methodist Church as executive assistant to several Bishops of the Desert Southwest Conference.
She returned to Tennessee in 2007 where she became the primary care giver to her sister until her passing in 2016.
Minnie remained there until moving to Madison, Alabama due to health concerns where she eventually passed away.

A Memorial service will be held in Nashville, Tennessee at the East End United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Visitation with the family will be at 10 with the service immediately following at 11:30.
A second memorial service will be held at the Hollywood United Methodist Church in California at a time to be determined.
Her ashes are to be split between the Hollywood United Methodist Church columbarium and LA and the family burial plot at the Triune United Methodist Church in Triune, Tennessee.
