Esther Mary , 16, wed Dr. George William Hughes Ambridge, 24, April 20, 1840. Two daughters were born to this union-Mrs. Jane "Jennie" Amelia Maria Walker and Mrs. Georgiana Augusta Reith. On invitation of his uncle (Rev. George Cheyne) Dr. Ambridge removed the family from Kent County to Stoney Creek to teach school. George WH Ambridge, 29, died in 1846. Esther Mary and daughters returned to Kent County. She wed widower David James Watson Sr., Farmer, of Southwold November 4, 1849. David fathered 3 sons with 1st wife, Ruth Lumley. 2 daughters were born to David and Esther Mary, Julia Eliza (1850-1855) and Florence Julia Josephine (b. 1864-1885 Consumption).

Cemetery records record Esther Mary's cause of death- Erysipelas." David followed Esther Mary dying 3 months later on his birthday, 1815-1882.
