LIFE CLOSES FOR JESSE A. RICE
Passes Away in Indianapolis Hospital Tuesday Evening
J.A. Rice; 59 years of age, a former resident of this city,
died Tuesday evening at the Deaconees' hospital in
Indianapolis. Mr. Rice had been a patient in the hospital
for eight months, death coming from Sarcoma tumor.
He had lived in the county about 12 years, coming here
from Pennsylvania. Until about five years ago he resided
in Warsaw, moving from this city to his late home about
four miles southeast of town. Mr. Rice was a very active
member of the Presbyterian church of Warsaw.
Besides his wife, he leaves two brothers and two sisters,
all living in Pennsylvania.
The funeral will be held at the house Thursday morning
at 10 o'clock. Interment will be at Oakwood cemetery.
Rev. J.M. Eakins will officiate.
