Peggy Haithcox Simon, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Linton Haithcox and Evelyn Hurt Haithcox. Peggy was the wife of the late Anthony "Tony" F. Simon, Sr. They shared 51 years together before his passing in 2009. Peggy was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1955 (Charlotte, NC). She was a member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Peggy had a love of gardening and enjoyed golfing with her husband. Surviving are her daughters, Pamela S. Postal (P.W.), Jennifer S. Shaver (Scott); son, Anthony "Tony" F. Simon, Jr.; grandchildren, Rhett and Rachel Postal, Nicholas and John Alessio. She is also survived by her sister, Marquita Stewart. In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was predeceased by her brother, Henry L. Haithcox, Jr. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 in St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Reverend Frank W. Anderson will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
