Hans Andreas Schultz (1867-1896)


Marriage:

Mathilde Sophie Amalia Pedersen (1872-1949) aka Sophie Pedersen, who was baptized on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1872.


Biography:

Carl Fredrik Schultz was a sailor and later a ship pilot. By the census 1875 the widow Helene lived alone with her son Hans. Shortly after 1900 the house was owned by the widow after Hans Andreas Carlsen Schultz, b.1867. Married 1894 in Farsund to Matilde Sofie Amalie Pedersdatter (Pedersen). b. 1872 in Farsund. Children: Klara Helene b. 1895 (to USA in 1908, going to relatives.) Hans Andreas was a sailor when he got married and is called steward in 1895. The daughter was born in Farsund. He was lost at sea 1896. According to the 1900 census Sofie Schultz lived as a widow with her little daughter. Sofie's profession is said to be "resturatrice" on a steamer. She marries again to Martin Andreassen in 1865. They had two children at Korshavn: Peder Severin b. 1903. Sigrid Marie b. 1905. In 1910 she was again a widow when she left for America with her youngest daughter Sigrid. She was going over to see her brother-in-law according to the emigration protocol. (Source: Ole Z.
