Alvis Sullivan age 93 years of the Oak Grove Community passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10:45 PM at Signature Health Rehab at Summit Manor in Columbia, KY. He was born on Dec. 12, 1924 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Lilburn Cain Jewell Harvey Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Grider Sullivan on April 6, 2009, one son Billy Sullivan, son-in-law Jasper Pike, three brothers Clifton, Harold Glendo Sullivan, three sisters Alberta Woods, Doris McGowan , Judy Sullivan. Survived by one son and one daughter , five brothers and two sisters, 5 Grandchildren ,6 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survives. Alvis was a founding member of the Oak Grove Church of God Prophecy, was a retired farmer, a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army Funeral service Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM CT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Clergy officiating Bro.
