VICTORIA - Wayne passed away February 27, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Ganado, Texas on September 24, 1947, to the late Eddie and Louise Johnson.
He graduated from Ganado High School, attended Junior College and trade schools. He joined the US Navy in 1967 and spent 3 years in the Navy, including 2 tours of Vietnam. In 1970, Wayne began his career working in chemical/industrial plants in the electrical maintenance departments. After 39 years with Alcoa, Union Carbide and Dow Chemical, he retired in 2009 as a Maintenance Activity Coordinator.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Thedford Johnson.
At Wayne's request a private service was held at Red Bluff Cemetery in Lolita, Texas.
Services are under the direction and personal care of Grace Funeral Home.
