Troyer, Mattie, daughter of Jacob and Susan (Lehman) Troyer, was born at Hutchinson, Kan., Oct. 1, 1897; died at Hutchinson Hospital on Nov. 24, 1981; aged 84 years.

On Jan. 11, 1917, she was married to Jerry Troyer, who died on Sept. 6, 1972.
Surviving are 5 sons (John, Ora, Harry, Fred, and Jerry), 2 daughters (Emma-Mrs. Roy Bontrager and Clara-Mrs. Willard Miller), 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one sister (Emma Helmuth).
She was preceded in death by 2 sons (William and Mose).

She was a member of Yoder Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 27,(1981) in charge of (?) was Daniel Kauffman; interment is in the church cemetery.
