Item of interest:
There were a number of grandchildren gathered at the home of Millicent Luckey at Liberty Center with filled baskets last Sunday to remind her of her 80th birthday. Grandmother Luckey, as she has always been called, has lived a widow's life since the Civil War and she has spent the greater part of those lonesome years alone and we feel sure she did enjoy our coming. After the noon feast was over the afternoon was spent taking pictures and visiting. Those present were Mrs. Alice Gaskill, Mrs. Luckey's only child living, Chris Eubank and wife, Mrs. Augusta Stotlar and sons Ray, Ora and Omer, Earl Eubank and wife, Miss Etta Eubank, Roy Eubank and Grandma Luckey. They all departed wishing grandmother many more happy birthdays. (Warren [IN] Tribune; August 21, 1913)
