Patricia, 60, of Shreveport, passed away at home early Saturday, Feb 24, 2018. A Celebration of Life, Funeral Service to honor Mrs. Patricia Ann Reed Byles will occur at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Blanchard Church of the Nazarene, 251 N. Main St., Blanchard, with Rev Delbert Terry officiating. Interment will follow at Central Baptist Cemetery, in Robeline, LA. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, on Friday, March 2nd, also at the church. Pallbearers will be: Jeffery Jackson, Jacobe "Tiny" Foster, Chris Reed, James "Fat" Youngblood, Michael Nichols, Danny Traweek, J.W. Moore, and Wesley Reed.

Mrs. Byles was born in Okinawa, Japan where her parents were stationed, while her father was serving in the U.S. Air Force. Later they moved to Shreveport, where she made a home and raised her family.

She also worked for many years at Overton Brooks VA Hospital where most of her co-workers became friends and over a short period of time gained lots of respect and became known to many younger employees as: “Miss Pat”. She also enjoyed helping everyone she could, spend time with her grandkids, cooking for everyone and supporting her local church and its members. She has made a positive impact on every person that has come into her life.

Pat was preceded in death by her Parents: Marion Allen Reed and Lucille Evelyn Hoover Reed; her son, Mackie Reed Byles; and her daughter, Angela Nicole Byles; and a sister, Kathleen Mears.

Left to cherish her memory are: her loving husband of 43 years, Mackie R. Byles; her children: Mackie W. Byles, Jeremy Byles, Steven Byles, and Kayla Byles; two siblings: Barbara Traweek, and William Reed. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren that were the light of her life.
