Funeral services for Ansel Best, 61, of Clearfield R. D. 2, who died yesterday, Oct. 13,1966 in the Clearfield Hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Nicholson Funeral Home.
The Rev. Lew Parks will officiate and interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends will be received in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until the hour of services Sunday.
His wife, the former Bessie Louella Maines, preceded him in death.
Born in Curwensville, July 9, 1905, a son of the late Irvin Wallace and Zola Mae (Painter) Best, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Joseph (Gladys) Scullion and Oliver, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Mrs. Helen Alley and Mrs. Alfred (Carol) Curtis, Las Vegas, Nev.; Delores, North Caroline; and Mrs. Everett (Darlene) Kyler, Philadelphia. There are 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The following three sisters and one brother also survive: Mrs. Sara Roebacker, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; William, Medina, N.Y.; Mrs. Anna Daniels, Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. Olive Knight, Mantua, Ohio.
