Judy A. Ross, 59, of Ithaca, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Cayuga Medical Center. Born in Ithaca, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Bernice Bowlsby. Judy had been employed by Hi-Speed Checkweigher Co. for 22 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and doing jig-saw puzzles. She loved animals and would never hesitate to take in a stray. She was a country music fan, especially Toby Keith. Most important to Judy was her family. She was totally devoted to her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by them. Judy was known to do anything to help anyone in need at any time. Judy is survived by her loving companion, Bill Boylan; daughter, Bernice Ross of Ithaca; son, Rod (Patrice) Ross of Locke; grandchildren, McKayla, Briana, DaKotah, Koryndee, Alex and Phoenyx; sister, Sandra (Dick) Fields of Ithaca; brother, David (Ann) Bowlsby of Newfield; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers, George and Teddy Bowlsby. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Wagner Funeral Home, located at the Family Service Center Building, 110 S. Geneva St., Ithaca. Rev. Tim Dean will be officiating. Friends may call from 5:30 - 7:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204 or to the SPCA of Tompkins County, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
