LaJuan Fite Braden was born on February 12, 1934 in East Texas. After college, she moved to Bay City to serve as a Home Demonstration Agent with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. It was there she was introduced to Walter A. Braden, Jr. They were then married on October 20, 1956.

LaJuan lived the rest of her life in Nada, Texas, as a farmer/rancher’s wife and loving mother. She had two sons, David Braden of Sugarland and Daniel Braden of Victoria.

LaJuan was active in the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Gadabouts and the El Campo Art Center.

LaJuan had two grandsons of Asheville, North Carolina She was a loving and doting Grandmother, sharing her art skills and love of life with her grandsons. Staying at Grandmother’s was always a fun adventure.

LaJuan is survived by her two sons and two grandsons..

LaJuan is preceded in death by her parents, Warner and Lorene Fite, her husband Walter Braden Jr., her brother John Fite and her sister, Delores Fite.

Visitation will be 4 pm to 6 pm with a Rosary being recited at 5 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Nada. The Funeral Mass will be 10 am Monday, March 12, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
