STEPHEN CALLENDER DEAD. One of the Oldest and Most Respected Citizens of lilakely. Blakely lost by death on Thursday evening one of its oldest and most respected residents. Stephen Calender, fa miliarly known by old and young as 'Squire. Mr. Callender has been a resident of Blakely for over sixty years. during which time he has hold a number of positions of trust and was a justice of the peace for several consecutive terms. When he settled In P.lake - ly it was a rouh and rugged place, and he has seen a thinly settled section grow to one ot tha largest ana most populous boroughs in Lackawanna county. He was nearly bo years or age, and was scarcely ever sick, until within the last year, when he has gradually gone down and died from a general giving out of all his physical powers. He has always lived at the old home stead and has been cared for by his daughter. Mr. E. A. Plumber. He is survived by throe children. Judsor. and John Callender and Mrs. E. A. Plum ber. Funeral services at the Callender chapel in Blakely on Sunday at - .30 p. m. Interment in Mead cemetery.
