Elsie married Olin Harman on August 14, 1955 at the Bynumville Union Church and he preceded in death on June 8, 2006.
Mrs. Harman graduated from Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College in Kirksville on August 6, 1953. She taught school for 39 years, starting in the one room school house of Wilson, Menefee, and Johnson. She also taught at Brookfield, Bynumville, and Prairie Hill, retiring in 1985. Elsie was a member of the Bynumville Christian Church and the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law; Naomi and Raymond Boss of Salisbury, one granddaughter, Bobbie Biere and her husband Josh of Salisbury. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Bernis "Buster" Billeter, two sisters Inez Hinkle and Meryl Perod.
