Services for Mrs. Pearl S. Chelette will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday June 15, 2003 in the Nantachie United Pentecostal Church in Colfax under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Saturday until time of services on Sunday in the church.

Mrs. Chelette, 93, of Colfax, died Thursday, June 12, 2003 in the Tioga Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Atlanta, La., was a homemaker and member of Nantachie United Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Chelette was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Lee Chelette.

Survivors include four sons, Don Chelette and his wife Louise of Pineville, Lee Chelette and his wife Gwen of Pineville, Brian Chelette and his wife Annette of Pflugerville, Texas, and Morris Chelette and his wife Sharon of Colfax; three daughters, Doris Asacker and her husband George of Lakeveille, Massachusetts, Reba McManus and her husband Gerald of Alexandria, and Patsy Hall and her husband David of Alexandria; twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ted Chelette, Mike Chelette, Byron Chelette, Donald H. Chelette, Jr., Derk Chelette, Tim Chelette, Chris Chelette, Brent Cloom, and Gerald McManus, Jr.
