Mary Helen Talley surrounded by her family, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born on December 8, 1936 in Cameron, TX to Frank Joe Braden and Hattie Ida Reynolds. She was married to the love of her life, Edwin (Leon) Talley for 60 wonderful years.
During those years, Mary enjoyed being a housewife and mom to her family. She was an avid sports fan of her children and grand-children. She loved to go watch them play no matter the sport or activity. Her greatest love was just being a part of their lives. She loved the years that they spent living on Lake LBJ as this introduced them to a whole other group of friends and extended family. Their door or dock was always open and there was always plenty of food and conversation for everyone. Upon returning to San Antonio in her later years, her focus switched to spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren. Some of her fondest memories were of all the family barbeques and swimming parties at the house.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Frank Joe Braden and Hattie Ida Reynolds, her husband; Edwin L. Talley and her sisters; Florence Purdy and Hattie Wood. She is survived by her daughter. two sons, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
