Dennis Ray De Lemos, in the presence of family and friends, went home to be with the Lord at age 72, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Dennis was born in South San Francisco, California. He was preceded in passing by his father, Joseph De Lemos; mother, Katherine Aragon De Lemos; brother, Robert J. De Lemos; lifelong friend, Ralph Arias and several beloved aunts and uncles. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patsy De Lemos; three children, Rachel (Steve) Giuffrida, Joseph (Aleja) De Lemos, Samuel (Beth) De Lemos, and nine grandchildren. He proudly served in the US Army from 1965 - 1969 and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He received an Associate Degree from the College of San Mateo. Dennis lived his life in service to others, sharing the love of Christ to all he met. Anyone that knew him, was better because of it. He served faithfully as a Gideon from 1994-2018. Funeral service for Dennis will be Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 2pm in the Sanctuary of the Ashland City United Methodist Church with Pastor William McRay and Reverend Dr. Tom Binford officiating. Burial will follow in Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Pleasant View, Tennessee, with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 2, 2018, from 2pm to 8pm and on Saturday at the church from 12noon until service hour of 2pm. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Fahey, Sonny Richardson, Richard Warden and The Gideons of Cheatham County Camp. Serving as active pallbearers are Daniel Newton, Joe Rush, Tom Hadley, Scott Lain, Matthew Taylor, David Farmer, Steve Clifton, and Cris Clifton.
