Richard "Rick" Kevin Levi, 72, a lifelong Rushville resident, passed away March 2, 2018 in Rush Memorial Hospital.

Rick was born March 31, 1945 in Rushville to Harold Francis "Punk" Levi and Hazel (Richardson) Levi Weidner.

Rick was a 1963 graduate of Rushville High School, obtained his undergraduate degree in law from Indiana University in 1967 and graduated from Indianapolis School of Law in 1971. He married Christina Ralstin on September 1, 1967.

Rick was an attorney for Earnest, Foster, Eder, Levi & Northam from 1971 until his retirement in 2017.

Rick was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Rushville where he had held nearly every office within the church and taught Sunday School. While at IU he was elected President of Sigma Chi Fraternity, honored in the Blue Key Society and he served on the steering committee of the IU Foundation. Rick was elected President at Indianapolis School of Law and was honored as Man of the Year.

He was active in his community of Rushville as well, serving on the Council of Clubs and the RCHS Alumni Association where he received their annual Service Award. He served on the Rush County Chamber of Commerce board and received their Citizen of the Year Award. He was instrumental on the committee that sought out doctors to work in the community and he was one of the founding members of the Rush County Communtiy Foundation. Rick was also awarded the Honorary Sagamore of the Wabash Award.

He is survived by his wife, Chris, of Rushville, his daughters, Heidi & Andrew Cornett of Rushville and Jackie & Dan Gudanowski of Tuscon, AZ, brothers, Bruce & Linda Levi of Rushville and Pete & Shirley Levi of New Salem, grandkids, Emily Gudanowski and Hunter Cornett, step brothers, Mike (Cindy) Weidner, John (Susan) Weidner, Tony ( Reny) Weidner and Bill Weidner, step sisters, Jane Fry & Jean Ann (Don) Osterling and step sister-in-law, Mel Weidner.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, step dad, Lowell Weidner and a step brother, Sam Weidner.

A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Rushville with Greg Steible presiding. Friends are welcome to visit after service from 2-5 PM Saturday at First Presbyterian Church.

Private burial of cremains will take place in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Rush County Community Foundation.
