Jonas Stanbery (187791909)
Suggested edit: After much research, I have come to the conclusion that Jonas Stanbery Junior may have had Down's Syndrome. Here is my reasoning:
* He never signed as witness to any important documents, the way his brothers and sisters did.
* He never owned any property, and never married. I believe he was living with someone in the family, but the the censuses didn't indentify household members other than the head of household, so I haven't been able to find him. (I don't think the male in Ann Lucy's household was Jonas Jr. It was probably Howard Stanbery, who didn't marry until 1847.)
* Jonas Senior, in his Will, executed May 4, 1839, created a land trust to provide an income stream for Jonas Junior, with his youngest son Howard as the trustee, as follows:
"Item seventh. I devise to my son Howard Stanbery the tract of land being Fractional section number eight, township number Eleven of range thirteen conveyed to me by Ira Belknap, in Muskingum County (excepting the two parcels sold by me thereon to John Neff) and also the eighty acres adjacent thereto upon the trust and for the uses and purposes following that is to say, that he appropriate the rents & profits thereof to the support and maintenance of my son Jonas Stanbery during the natural life of said Jonas ..."
All of this, I believe, spells out that there was something wrong with Jonas Junior, that he was a special needs child of some sort. (This may also have put a strain on Jonas's first marriage to Frances Winans.)

Jonas Stanbery (187791909)
Suggested edit: Per our family's records (I'm descended from Jonas Sr. through his son Charles), Jonas Jr. was always said to have been born in 1790. Although no exact date was ever given, it he must have had a birthday between January 1st and March 17th if he was 59. He was the fourth-born of the four boys through Jonas Senior's first wife, Frances Winans. A birth year of 1790 does agree with the inscription on the tombstone, which says that he was 59 years old.
