Born in the Hanover section of Nanticoke, daughter of the late George and Florence Siebert Croop and was a graduate of Hanover High School. She was a CNA with The Meadows Nursing Unit before her retirement. Her favorite pastime was watching classic movies, TV series and game shows.
Carol was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Kalinay, in 1984; her infant son, Edward Kalinay; brother, George; sisters, Bess, Jane and Georgia.
Surviving are her sons, Edward Kalinay and his wife, Chong, Marysville, Calif.; Dwayne Kalinay and his wife, Doreen, Noxen; and Kenneth Kalinay and his wife, Jackie, Shavertown; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweet Valley, at a later date.
