Billie Jean Norman Deskins, age 72, of Wellington, KY, formerly of Meta, KY, passed from this life Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY. She was born in Kimper, KY. January 28, 1946 to the late Ira Norman and Pinkie Smith Norman May. In addition to both parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty five years, Loren "Dow" Deskins Jr; step- father, James Joe May; and one brother, Joe Willis May. Billie is survived by two brothers, Donnie May of Kimper, KY and his wife Pricey, Terry May of McVeigh, KY and his wife Angela; one sister, Betty May McGuire of Wellington, KY and her husband Ralph. Billie was a devoted wife, an avid member of the Charity Freewill Baptist Church in Morehead, and a homemaker. She will be certainly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will accept friends Sunday, March 4, 2018 and Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Thacker Memorial Chapel beginning at 6 PM - 10 PM with services nightly at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Chapel of the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 1 PM with Phillip Rowe and Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville, KY.
