Bessie Estelle Dellinger Chrisawn, age 79, of the Henson Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7th, 2018 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. A native of Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Missouri Burleson Dellinger. She was also preceded in death by three infant siblings; a daughter, Alicia Diane Hudgins; grandson, Aaron Casey Chrisawn and two sisters: Hazel and Doanie Dellinger. Bessie loved the Lord and being outdoors working in her flower garden. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving is her loving husband of 54 years, Johnny Chrisawn; sons: Bobby John Chrisawn and wife, Lisa Norman Chrisawn and Timothy Dale Chrisawn and wife, Amanda Ward Chrisawn all of Bakersville; granddaughters: Misty Warren Pendland and Rylee Chrisawn; grandsons: Dekoda and Jacob Chrisawn and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 10th in Henson Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Junior Carver and Rev. Tim Watson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pittman Cemetery on Henson Creek. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
