Visitation was at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with burial in Halfway Cemetery.
He is survived by his father, Elmer J. Brunet Sr. of Houma; four brothers, Elmer J. Brunet Jr. and wife, Sheila, John P. Brunet and wife, Marilyn, Steven A. Brunet Sr. and wife, Maggie, and Derrell J. Brunet Sr. and wife, Josie; two sisters, Linda M. Brunet and Marlene B. Verdin and husband, Lawrence; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite LeBoeuf Brunet; his grandparents, Albert Brunet and Lillian M. Brunet, Jodah J. LeBoeuf and Agnes Comeaux LeBoeuf.
He was a fitter and welder and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
