Archie LuVern Anderson, the son of Albin and Esther (Anderson) Anderson was born October 20, 1924 in Lowry, Minnesota. He attended grade school in District #72 country school in Reno Township and Glenwood High School. Archie left high school early to help his dad and brother, Wilbert farm on the family farm in rural Lowry. Archie continued to farm until his brother, Wilbert and he started Anderson painting. He continued to paint until he retired in the mid-nineties.

On October 6, 1956 Archie was united in marriage to Nellie Husmann at the First Baptist Church in Glenwood. The couple made their home on a farm in Reno Township and this marriage was blessed with three children. Archie and Nellie moved off the home farm and moved into Starbuck in 2005. They continued to live there until 2011 when they returned to live on the farm with their son, Paul. Archie and Nellie shared 59 years of marriage before Nellie passed away March 31, 2016. When Archie needed more help with his daily care he moved into the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. He passed away there on February 8, 2018.

Archie loved the farm, especially the animals. He also loved to tinker with machinery of any kind or size. He spent many hours working in his workshop. He was the caretaker of the Reno Mission Cemetery in Lowry for many years. He especially loved to spend time with his family.

Archie died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, having lived to reach the age of 93. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 17th at the Lowry Community Covenant Church, with interment in the Reno Mission Cemetery in Lowry.
