Mrs. Carpenter retired as Executive Director of the Cancer Services of Gaston Co. She was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Sara was the most beautiful woman, inside and out. She loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Many words can be used to describe her - wonderful wife, excellent mother, dedicated friend. She was her children’s number one supporter and encourager. Sara also loved spending time at the beach, reading and going to lunch with her beloved friends. She was a beautiful Christian dedicated to her church and serving God. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her “gammy’ and “gam gam”.
