Clinton George Ecks, age 91, of Cream Ridge passed away Monday, February 26 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.

Born in Freehold, George lived there before moving to Manasquan for 30 years, then to Florida for 17 years and most recently to Cream Ridge for the past 7 years. George proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He worked at the family business, Swan Pump & Supply in Freehold for many years before retiring. George was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in New Egypt, the Freehold Twp. Lions Club and the Manasquan Elks Lodge and was an avid fisherman.

George is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn (Alspach) Ecks; a son and daughter-in-law, Clinton R. and Doreen Ecks of Cream Ridge; a daughter, Connie Sue Eitner of Virginia; a brother, C. Franklin Ecks of Freehold; five grandchildren, Stephen Eitner, Kevin Ecks, Brian Ecks, Kimberly Harrison and Brianne Eitner; four great grandchildren, Crosby Eitner, Charlotte Ecks, Austin Ecks and Rowan Eitner and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for George will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 1:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com) with interment to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Due to cemetery restrictions on flowers, memorial contributions in George’s memory can be made to the Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
