Billy Hatfield 88 of Logan, WV departed this life on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from Trinity Healthcare of Logan.
Born September 23, 1929 at Gilbert he was the son of the late William and Dora Hatfield.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife: Genevieve (Carter) Hatfield; his second wife: Eula Lee (Lukacs) Hatfield; three sisters: Theron Arnold, Mary Browning and Irene Sluss; two brothers: Clifford Hatfield and Gene Hatfield; and very good friend: Drew Blankenship.
Billy was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He loved working on old cars, fishing and playing guitar. Billy was of the Church of God faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Billy and to mourn his passing include his four sons: Billy ( Pam) Hatfield of Gilbert, Ronald (Rebecca) Hatfield of Beckley, Donald (Vicky) Hatfield of Statesville, NC and Timmy Hatfield of St. Albans; grandchildren: Donald Wayne (Irene) Hatfield, Scott Anthony (Nikki) Hatfield, Brandon Lee (Shayla) Hatfield, Shandi Renea (Brian) Dotson, Hannah Hatfield, Timmy Joe Hatfield, Ronnie Hatfield and Stephanie (Zack) Vance; 12 great grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at The Gilbert Church of God from 11:30 – 1:00 pm with funeral services commencing at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating.
Burial will follow at the North Spring Community Cemetery at North Spring.
Billy will be carried to his final resting place by Wayne Hatfield, Scott Hatfield, Brandon Hatfield, Gordon Carter, Ricky Carter, Zack Vance and Otis Riffe.
He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
