While attending her English class in high school she asked the boy sitting across from her, Wayne, if she could borrow a piece of paper. Little did she realize that simple request would lead to a 53 year relationship. They were married a few months later and a few years later were sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple. She had a very tender and loving heart, some of which may have rubbed off onto Wayne. She worked for the Weber School District for 27 years. She was a very dedicated wife and mother of six children.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a fearless and very strong testimony of her faith. Always one that you would want to follow and emulate. She served diligently and faithfully in many responsible positions in her ward. Lawanna and Wayne also served a two and a half year mission to the inner city of Ogden. They were able to attend 52 different LDS Temples. Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family and serving others.
She shared her many creative talents through sewing, cooking, teaching and creating a warm and inviting home. She loved spending time with her family. She and Wayne, together enjoyed traveling, attending various activities and writing in their personal journals. They currently reside in Riverdale, formerly lived for 30 years in Roy and for a few years in Clearfield.
