Mr. King died Saturday at the Tennova Hospital in Jackson, TN following a lengthy illness.
He was the son of the late Mark Thomas and Beulah Nash King and lived most of his life in the Friendship Community except for a short time in Illinois. He was retired from welding and farming having worked for Caterpillar and American Air Filter. Mr. King was a veteran of the Army-Air Force serving in WWII. He was Church of Christ in belief.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie June King; daughters, Paula Brasfield,(Bobby), Deborah Parks and Nancy Cunningham; sons, James King, Jr.(Sandy) and Jeff King, (Michelle); sisters, Alma Latham and Gloria Evans; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded by sister, Helen Lepper, and brother, Willard King.
