DEATH IS SUDDEN FOR JOHN W. HENRY, 75
John W. Henry, 75, died at his hone, 403 Jackson Street, about 3 o'clock Tuesday morning after an illness of twelve days. His death was unexpected and two daughters, one in California and one in Colorado had been summoned but, when his condition improved Monday, they were told not to come.
Funeral arrangements will not be made until word from the daughters is received.
Mr. Henry was born in Cooper County October 22, 1863 and was a son of Isaac and Catherine Vaughn Henry. His marriage to Neva Clegg took place at Sedalia Dec 23, 1896. Their home was on a farm near Chilhowee until they moved to Warrensburg 16 years ago.
Surviving are a son, Loyd E, Henry of the home; the daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bishop of Dove Creek, Colo, and Mrs. Phyllis White of Clarksburg, Calif; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Wilkens and Mrs. O. W. Mahany of Kansas City, Kan., and two brothers, Luther Henry of Boonville, and A. D. Henry of Jay, Okla. A daughter, Mrs. Hazel Wills, died six years ago, and a son, Guy, died in infancy.
Mr. Henry united with the Baptist church early in life.
