Graveside services for Sondra June Britain Axline, 81, of Martin, LA will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, February 26, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery with Bro. Ken McLaren officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA.
Mrs. Axline passed away February 23, 2018. She was born November 22, 1936 in Hamilton, TX to Wade Paul Britain and Lorene Elizabeth Kennedy Britain. Sondra was an only child. She met the love of her life at age 14 and married on August 26, 1955. Sondra loved talking to people and never met a stranger. She was very strong willed and loved to tell stories about growing up and family and you would never know what she would say. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry Lee Axline, Sr.; her sons, Michael Doyle Axline and Henry Lee Axline, Jr.; and her parents, Wade Paul Britain and Lorene Elizabeth Kennedy Britain.
Mrs. Axline is survived by her daughters, Pamela Gay Axline Thomas and husband, Randy, Cheryl Lynn Axline Bryant and husband, Rickey, and Caren Dee Axline Eames and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Randy Joe Thomas, Jr. and wife, Adaire, Danny Lee Thomas and wife, Jamie, Shelly Dee Witter Rhodes and husband, Cody, Sarah Elizabeth Bryant Dolloff and husband, Marshall, Sean Clinton Bryant and fiancee’ Merelise Tantillo; great-grandchildren, Matthew Thomas, Timothy Thomas, Sean Bryant, Morgan Doloff, Mark Doloff, Jordan Thomas, Jace Thomas, Wyatt Rhodes, and Jacob Bryant.
