Thomas ”Fuzzy” Edgar Baxley, Sr., 70, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018.
Mr. Baxley was born in Hemingway, SC, the son of the late Margaret Durant Baxley and Angus Edgar Baxley. Fuzzy graduated from Hemingway High School in 1966 and joined the United States Air Force where he served from 1966 – 1970. He worked in the tire business from 1973 until his retirement and continued to help his son, T.J., at Baxley Tire Service. He was passionate about the business and the many friends he met. Fuzzy was also a big South Carolina Gamecocks fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Carter.
