Died -- Mrs. McCaskill. The deceased, Minerva Veatch, was born near Evansville. Indiana, January 11th 1830. When a child moved to Schuyler county, Illinois. In March, 1853, was married to John McCaskill and was the mother of three children, who preceded her in passing the "Pearly Gates." She with her husband moved to Kansas in 1882 and died happily in the Lord on October 23, 1893. She was a member of the M. E. church has been a Christian from childhood. Funeral service conducted by Rev Thomas Lidzy pastor of M. E. church, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Was buried in Cottonwood Falls cemetery. "The righteous have hope in their death."
