Mr. William Puryear died at his home in Hartselle Saturday, Oct. 19th, after a long illness with consumption. He was in his 56th year and was a consistent member of the Methodist church.
He was buried at Bethel Church cemetery near town Sunday. Rev. W. D. Thompson conducted the funeral services. He was a clever and worthy citizen and leaves a wife and a large family to mourn for him. We extend our sympathies to them.

He was a Corporal in the 12th Tennessee Cavalry, Company E, during the Civil War.
