Ella Jean Beavers, age 84, of White Mountain, Virginia, passed away peacefully at CVMC, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Ella Jean was born December 31st 1933 and was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County. Ella Jean was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Lola Mullins, and one brother, Jimmy (Junior) Ervin Mullins also of White Mountain.

Ella Jean Beavers loved serving the Lord and was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ for nearly 50 years. Her greatest joys in life was cooking for family and friends and sharing her gospel music with others.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 58 years Newton A. Beavers, one daughter, Lynn Keen of Richlands; two sons Larry Mullins and wife Susie of Paintlick, VA; and Hobert Beavers and wife Jennifer of Claypool Hill, VA; one sister, Faye Hatfield and husband Elza of White Mountain, two brothers, Fred Mullins and wife Thedosia of White Mountain; and Ray Mullins and wife Yuvonne of Richlands; one sister-in-law Leola Mullins of White Mountain.

Ella Jean also leaves behind seven grandsons who will forever remember her as Granny B: Jerry Domby and wife Tosha of Coeburn, VA; Kenneth Ward and wife, Amanda of Clintwood, VA; Timothy Ward and wife Kayla of Bristol, VA; Larry E. Mullins Jr. of Paintlick, VA; David Mullins and wife Brittany of Rosedale, VA; Justin Beavers and wife Amanda of Claypool Hill, VA; Brian Beavers and fiancé Keylea Harrison of Johnson City, TN
Eleven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to list are also left behind.

Funeral Services for Ella Jean Beavers will be conducted Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Evangelist Bob Smith, Rev. Jimmy Day, and Rev. Walter Schwitzerlett officiating. Interment will follow at the Mullins Family Cemetery at White Mountain, VA. Grandsons will serve at pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Friday evening at the funeral home.
