Clint Brown, 88, was born on July 27, 1928, to Jimmy and Viola Brown in Paris, Texas, one of eight children born to this union. Clint was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, L. E. Brown, Curlest Brown, and Burl King, three sisters: Rosie Brown, Melveta Dillard, and Luveta McCarty; his wife, Essie Mae Cooper-Brown; four children, Charles Lee Brown, Robert V. Brown, Ravise Brown, and Diane C. Brown-Phillips; and one grandson, Brandon Phillips, Jr. He met and married Essie Mae Cooper-Brown, and to this union five children were born. Clint was a faithful member of the Greater New Zion Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, where Dr. James H. Tucker was pastor. Clint worked for the City of Oklahoma City in the Solid Waste Department until he retired. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Herman Brown (Marsha) of Oklahoma City; a brother, Johnny Lee Brown; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
